my two bundles of joy

Look how fast they've grown. They used to be my cute little babies. Now, they are still cute (that's for sure!), but they have become mature individuals, if you know what I mean.

Luke is now a preschooler who has I think asked ALL of the "whys" and "whats" of the world. Oh, he has calmed down a bit recently.

Lois, on the other hand, has a stronger personality and possesses very good motor skills (both fine and gross). And when she says "no", she shakes her head vigorously -- simply telling us that she means it.

A few years later, they would be both mature individuals busy with their own things. But they will remain my babies in my heart forever. ;)

together in dreamland

sleep, my dears
enjoy your time in dreamland
you need it for your much needed growth
and while you are there
mami will stay beside you
watching over you
while blogging and surfing and chatting
and e-everything e-else. ;)

if you were to describe this picture, how would it be?

my queen has arrived...

Ladies and gentlemen of the blogworld, I am very much pleased to introduce to you my precious queen, Lois Abigayle.

Lois was born on December 20, 2007 at 8:26am (Phil time) via CS (she's a breech baby, that's why) and weighs 3 kilos. Almost everybody says she gets most of her physical features from me. ;-)

She's over a week old now, and has been a good girl so far. She's such a couch potato (good for me I have time to sleep, and work, and blog) and the only time she lets out her crying spell is when she can't find the right way to latch on during breastfeeding (and yup, I am 100% breastfeeding, mainly due to financial reasons hahaha!).

I'll post more pics in a couple of days.

Graduate na po! ;)

Proud to tell everyone that my dear hubby has finished his PhD course at The University of Tokyo. And please don't ask me about his field of specialization, it's too technical for me. ;) All I can say it's in the field of biological and environmental information engineering. Whatever that is, go ask him ... ;)

Anyway, now that he has graduated and earned his degree, what's next? Well, for sure, we're going back to our dearly beloved homeland, and to the University. Other plans? Nadah!

For now, join me in congratulating Dr. AMDA. ;)

Omedetou gozaimasu!

Extended ... till April

Thank God for granting the desire of our heart! I'm soooo happy that our stay here in Japan has been extended for one more month.

This means many things ...
... have the chance to experience spring and all the beauty goes with it.
... visit nice places (within Kanto area only) notably wide and glamorous parks here and there
... Jap dishes to munch -- the likes of sushi, tempura and many others
... and of course, cook yakisoba almost every day. ;)

More than all these, we have lots of time to see friends, especially those we haven't seen for quite a long time.

And a little time for a meager work on the side. ;)

Got to squeeze all these in one whole month. Ahh, I must schedule things wisely. ;)
