Tropical fruits from Pinas

Yup, these are authentic Filipino fruits, with all their authentic sweetness too. Imported here in Japan. And since they travel from island to island, prices naturally go up. What else is new with that in Tokyo eh? But I don't mind the price. (ows? really?) Philippine fruits have superior taste over other countries'. Take the case of the banana, ours is definitely more oishii than those coming from Taiwan. Also, I think Philippines is the only source of sweet pineapple that are sold here.

We have brands like Dole, Del Monte (not in the photo though), Uni Frutti, and some (ironically) not known in Pinas like the Heart of the Philippines (is this a brand name or a slogan?) and Edano (also not in photo).

So, here in Tokyo, Firippin, as Japanese call it, is not only known for japayukis and english teachers, but also of sweet tropical fruits. ;)

whoa! looks exactly what we would buy in the grocery here, but i bet the prices (when converted) are exorbitant :) anyway, indulge!

hi aloi! i don't convert anymore, otherwise, wala ako mabibili dito kahit na anu ;) anyway, it's worth it naman. at saka, quality dictates the price -- the more delicious ones are the more (or most) expensive. meron nga dito melon worth 2,000 or 3,000yen. anu kaya ang lasa nito kung yung 500yen worth ay super tamis na? baka arnibal na ;)

mahal naman dyan! buti na lang sito sa Pinas murang-mura ang prutas at pwedeng magpakasawa kung kelan gustuhin. Me mangang hilaw at bagoong ba dyan?!

hi rayts! yan nga ang namimiss ko sa pinas -- the luxury of eating those fruits everyday at a very affordable price. meron din dito manggang hilaw at hinog, pati na rin bagoong, pero syempre, mas mahal na kase bumyahe pa galing pinas at tinawid ang malawak na dagat para lang makarating dito.

pero kahit pa mahal, bumibili pa rin ako dito para healthy pa rin tayo, at pang-maintain ng figure (kung anuman ang figure ko ngayon, wag mo na itanung hehehe!)

btw, kay murakami, i think halos pareho ang price dito (when converted). siguro bibili na ako dito kase maganda talaga quality dito. pero yung iba, hiram na lang ako sayo ;)
